PTFE gasket is also called Teflon gasket. Due to its excellent high and low temperature resistance, acid and alkali resistance, solvent resistance, and corrosion resistance, PTFE gaskets are widely used in various extreme high and low temperature and corrosion scenarios. PTFE masks can be divided into three categories based on their different materials.
1. Pure PTFE gasket
Pure PTFE gasket is cut by 100% original PTFE sheet.Pure PTFE gasket is a clean and dense material which will not contaminate any substances they come into contact with, and can be widely used in industrial, pharmaceutical, and corrosive environments.
2. Modified PTFE gasket
Also known as filled PTFE gasket, it refers to adding a certain amount of fillers such as glass fiber, titanium dioxide, barium sulfate, graphite, carbon fiber, etc. to the PTFE resin. It has good compressibility, recovery and sealing; Advantages such as low friction coefficient, good compressive strength, and good wear resistance.
Compared to pure PTFE gasket, modified PTFE gaskets can better maintain the pre tightening of bolts, which not only improves the durability of the seal, but also reduces the difficulty of flange maintenance.
3. Expanded PTFE gasket
Also known as an expanded PTFE sealant, it is made by expanded PTFE material which has good flexibility, good adaptability and formability, high tensile strength, creep resistance,high & low temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, cold resistance, and chemical resistance.
Expanded PTFE gasket is more flexible and more excellent surface adhesion and adjustment than pure PTFE gasket.
